Pre-AP Syllabus
Note to Parents; It is absolutely critical that your son/daughter
purchase a calculator for this class. It doesn’t need to be an
expensive one. Look for one that has either an ‘EXP’ or ‘EE’ button. At
Target they cost about $18-$20
This course is designed for the
college bound, highly motivated student. This course is a year long
exploration of chemistry concepts. The concepts covered mirror the
chemistry concepts covered in regular chemistry, but at much greater
depth and rigorous pace. Laboratory exercises and report writing are
integral parts of this curriculum. It is also recommended that students
have a solid understanding of Algebraic equations, as much of this
course is math intensive. |
