Ellen Calebaugh

I am the Bio-Engineering and Technology (BET) Pathway counselor.

This is my fifth year at Arlington High School!  I have been a school counselor with St. Paul Public Schools since 1996.

I truly enjoy the cultural diversity at Arlington!  Working at Arlington has been an on going learning experience for me as well as a gratifying job.  Fostering academic challenge is important to me as a high school counselor; I encourage enrollment in advanced placement classes or post secondary options (college for high school students).

I have a total of 21 years experience in public education as an English teacher and counselor.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in education at State University College of New York, Plattsburgh and my master’s degree in counseling from North Adams State College, North Adams, Massachusetts.

Minnesota has been my home since 1981.  My husband and I relocated to Minnesota when he received a job offer as a traffic engineer.  Having been a homemaker for a number of years, I returned to work as a counselor in 1993.  I have two children, both in college and two cats.
