Arlington High School is a great place for students learning English as their second or third language! We have 11 ELL Teachers and 6 Educational Assistants who speak Hmong, Somali, Spanish, Oromo, Amharic, Thai and French. We have four levels of language classes from beginner to advanced. In addition to English language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, our classes also help students with content language in math, science and social studies.

I've been teaching at Arlington High School since 2000. I teach beginners and intermediate students in science and writing classes. I graduated from Macalester College with a B.A. in Linguistics and then received an M.L.S. degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University in Chicago.  I received my ESL teaching license from Hamline University in Saint Paul.
