BET Courses:

BET News:
2009/10
  • Two BET staff just learned that they were awarded grants from the Ecolab Corporation in the amount of $1800.00 and $1700.00 respectively. These grant funds will be used for the purpose of technology and engineering. Ecolab has been a long time supporter of both SPPS and Arlington BioSMART. Thank you Ecolab!
  • Introduction to Engineering Design students will be working with the latest 3D printer this year, as we upgraded to a uPrint model which is much more versatile for course and BioSMART prototyping.

2008/09
  • BET staff just received word of a $2500.00 grant from the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) for an "engineering and technology" project that will be implemented by staff and students in the 09/10 school year. Thank you SAME! This civilian, MSP based post works on numerous civil engineering projects and is heavily involved with flood solutions for the Red River Valley area.
  • READ ALL ABOUT IT... The StarTribune visited Arlington BioSMART High School and the Biotechnical Engineering class the Friday before break. Article.
  • The BET pathway received a grant for a "Dimension 3-D Printer" from the Stratasys Co of Eden Prairie. (Thank you Stratasys!) If you can CAD an object, the 3-D printer can build it. AHS is one of a handful of high schools in the State of MN that possess this high tech piece of equipment. (Mr Gullikson and Ms Vashisht receive training on the use of the printer.)
