AHS students prepared educational
boards / activities to teach
visiting students from Washington Technology Magnet and North End
Elementary School. Approximatly 350 Seventh graders from Washington
Technology Magnet and 36 students from North End Elementary School
attended
the BioSMART Fair.
Partners in attendance: U of M - Institute of
Technology,
American Red Cross, Best Buy, Health East, Medtronic, DEED (Department
of Employment and Economic Development), Regions Hospital, Nanocopoeia,
Vertical Endeavors, Boston Scientific, Tessera.
Approximately 180 AHS students toured the
Medtronic Surgery
truck and Dr. Iaizzo's (U of M) heart lab. Forty AHS staff members
toured the Medtronic truck.
70 AHS students worked as tour guides with WMS and
NEE school
students. Special thanks to some of our outstanding students in the ELL
program who helped as guides and
interpreters.
"At
approximately 5:00 AM this morning, November 3rd,
custodians Ray Bednar and Scott Portz discovered a deceased male in the
Great Hall. He was the apparent victim of what looks like a
brutal homicide."
